The new Director is responsible for the delivery of IT services to support the Netherlands’ business. He/ she supports the definition and ensures the execution of plans to integrate the IT operations of the different business units in that market. He/ she directly manages the IT team by providing leadership and structure. Moreover, the new director ensures adherence to industry best practise and provides technical oversight, as appropriate.

The new Director prepares IT budgets, manages on-going costs and ensures alignment to group policies. He/ she collaborates with Group CIO and other local IT Directors to define and deliver the groupwide IT and Digital strategy;

It is his/ her responsibility to ensure that IT becomes a key business enabler of the organisations ambitions for growth and customer service excellence, specifically, through digital innovation. Furthermore he/ she ensures adherence to cybersecurity policies and procedures, as well as the delivery of security programmes and initiatives;

Last but certainly not least he/ she delivers IT projects to meat the needs of the business and aligns to groupwide programmes to meet the organisations strategic objectives.


– Support the roll out of IT best practices across all operational processes (collection, logistics, pre-analysis, analysis, post-analysis).

– Align with the business and group IT Strategy, providing technology innovation and advisory to the business

– Oversee IT budget ensuring compliance with business requirements.

– Build improvement plans to respond to any operational non-compliance.

– Lead workshops to design and develop service requirements improving connectivity for customers and end users.

– Negotiate IT service level agreements with user organizations and monitor IT systems performance to assure service levels are met.

– Develop and maintain corporate IT policies and standards relating to the acquisition, implementation, and operation of information technology and communication systems.

– Develop annual IT operating and capital budgets, focusing on reducing both cost and complexity.

– Direct the implementation of IT systems, provide security, training and systems backup, and facilitates effective and efficient operations.

– Identify and Manage Risks – through Risk Assessments, Risk program reporting and prioritized recommendations

– Incident Response (critical event management)


We are looking for the following candidate:

– Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field;

– Proven track record in post-merger integration/integrating separate IT teams and infrastructure;

– Experience in digital innovation and an appreciation of emerging technology and applicability in the organisational context;

– Experience from international corporation and used to lead effectively in a matrix organization with different levels of reporting/instructions;

– Experience from companies having a legacy IT estate and running modernization initiatives;

– Experience in managing a regulated environment with high levels data confidentiality;

– Excellent project management skills. Fluent Dutch and English;

– 10 years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects with proven track of his/her achievements and projects
